HSC HISTORY STUDY DAYS FOR STUDENTS -
**2010 Dates Now Available!!**

HTANSW has been successfully running its HSC History Study Days at Sydney University for over 20 years. Our lectures are presented by experienced teachers and markers of the HSC, and therefore provide invaluable assistance to students preparing for HSC History.

LATE BOOKINGS: If vacancies are available after the closing date, then LATE BOOKINGS may be accepted, and will be charged at $TBC per person per day.

HOW TO BOOKING:
* Pre-booking is essential.
* Complete the registration form found on the last page of the Study Day Program.
* You must indicate the EXACT number of people attending EACH session for your application to be processed.
* Official School Bookings - payment is acceptable on the day.
* Pre-payment is required at the time of booking for all other registrations
* Bookings will NOT be confirmed unless specifically requested. (Please leave email details for this).
* No refunds are available once bookings have been made.
* Tickets are to be picked up from the registration desk on the day, each day - so please arrive before 8.45am
* To avoid long queues, BYO food and drink.

REMOTE SUBSIDY GRANT

As part of its ongoing commitment to supporting remote teachers and students, the HTANSW will again be offering its remote subsidy grant to 5 rural schools to facilitate their attendence at the HSC History Study Days in 2010.
The grant includes FREE lecture admission and up to $1000 in transport/accommodation subsidy.
Applications will be accepted from schools more than 300 km from Sydney.
Applying teachers or their school must be CURRENT MEMBERS of HTANSW.

CLOSING DATE 1st May - successful applicants will be notified MID MAY.

A number of criteria were considered in the selection process, including:
• The distance of the school from Sydney
• The remoteness of the school
• Maximum of 2 schools from any one area (North Coast, South Coast, North West, South West, West).
• Length of membership with the HTA
• Previous support of the HSC Study Days
• Not a previous recipient of the HTA Remote Subsidy Grant

SCHOOL CERTIFICATE EXAM HISTORY STUDY DAYS FOR YR 10 STUDENTS -
Closed

In 2009, HTANSW in conjunction with the Australian History Museum, Macquarie University, will be running its inaugural Year 10 School Certificate History Study Day for Students. It will target key aspects of the Stage 5 syllabus for students sitting the School Certificate Exam in 2009.
All speakers are recent School Certificate markers.

NOTE: Please make your cheque or money order payments out to "Macquarie University"

Carslaw Lecture Complex, University of Sydney
Carslaw Lecture Complex The Carslaw Lecture Complex is situated on the Newtown/City Road end of Sydney University's 'Eastern Avenue'.

(Note: look for where "STUDENT CENTRE" is flagged on the map. The Student Centre is within the Carslaw Lecture Complex).


Parking at the University of Sydney
"Pay and Display" parking is available at the University of Sydney. Tickets are purchased through coin vending machines ($1 & $2 coins only). Limited change machines are available.
Monday - Friday fee is $24 flat rate.
Saturday - Sunday is $2 per hour or $6 maximum.

Public Transport to Carslaw Lecture Complex, University of Sydney
Redfern station is the closest train station to the University. You will need to walk from the station to the City Road Entrance of the University for the closest access to the Carslaw Lecture Avenue Complex.
Alternatively you may take a train to Central railway station, and then catch a bus from Broadway/George Street that travels down City Road. Buses include 421, 422, 423, 428.

Once inside the City Road entrance of the University, the Carslaw Lecture is the first building on the right.

Food and Drink
During weekdays the Wentworth Building cafeteria will be open for lunch. The Wentworth Building can be found across the other side of City Road from the Carslaw Building.
However to avoid long queues, bring your own lunch and drink.

IMPORTANT NOTE!:
The Wentworth Builiding will be closed SATURDAY, so be sure to bring food and and drink on with you on that day.

(Limited snacks may be available from vending machines and coffee carts - however expect long queues).
