Contributor Details

Paul Kiem teaches History at Trinity Catholic College, Auburn. He is author of Chapter 9 Conflict in the Pacific 1937-1951, Chapter 10 Exam Questions and edited the HTA Modern History Study Guide.

Dr Tom Cantwell teaches History at St Patrick's College Sutherland and writes and speaks extensively on Modern History topics. He is the author of Chapter 8 Conflict in Indochina 1954-1979.

Beatriz Cartlidge is Head of History at St Catherine's School Waverley. She is author of Chapter 6 The Cold War 1945-1991.

Dr Daryl Le Cornu is Head Teacher of HSIE at Mount Annan High School He is the author of Chapter 4 China 1927-1949 and contributed to profiles of Sun Yat-Sen and Zhe De to Chapter 11.

Albert Marchetto is a former Board of Studies History Inspector and recently retired as Head Teacher of History at Normanhurst Boys' High School. He is author of Chapter 3 Russia/Soviet Union 1917-1941 and contributed the profiles of Alexandra Kollontai and Leon Trotsky to Chapter 11.

Dr David Martin teaches History at Sydney Grammar. He is author of Chapter 2 Germany 1918-1939 and contributed the profiles of Ho Chi Minh, Albert Speer and Leni Riefenstahl to Chapter 11.

Denis Mootz is Head Teacher of History at Randwick Girls' High School and lectures in History Method at the University of NSW. He is author of Chapter 1 World War I 1914-1919.

Pam Panczyk is Head Teacher of History at Jamison High School and President of the History Teachers' Association of NSW. She is author of Chapter 7 The Arab-Israeli Conflict 1948-1996.

Michael Pyne is recently retired as Head Teacher of History at Nepean High School. He is the author of Chapter 5 USA 1919-1941 and contributed the profiles of J Edgar Hoover, William Randolf Hearst and Yasser Arafat to Chapter 11.

Ken Webb teaches History at Pymble Ladies' College and writes and speaks extensively on Modern History topics. He is the author of Chapter 10 Conflict in Europe 1935-1945.
