"HISTORY WITH A DIFFERENCE" with a particular focus on national curriculum

The three day event is to be hosted by the History Teachers' Association of South Australia (HTASA) and will be held at Loreto College in Adelaide between 3-5 October 2011. Australasian History teachers and academics are invited to the conference to participate in a stimulating education program of presentations, hands on workshops and field trips. The conference in 2011 will support teachers with the introduction of the Australian national curriculum for History, which is due for implementation in 2011-13. We anticipate an unprecedented attendance at the conference in response to the need for professional learning as a result of the requirements of the new K-12 National History Curriculum. Workshops will be on Monday- Wednesday 3rd to 5th October 2011.
